Sometimes pain can be relieved easilythrough physical therapy.
Sometimes pain is a symptom of a life threateningproblem.
Don't ignore pain - get it checked out!


- Saving money so that if you need to take time off work to recover from a medicalproblem, you can.
Fred opened an IRA account when he was an apprentice and herecommends that everyone do the same.
Financial health and physical health areconnected.


Fred story is a good reminder that, "If you want to have a long career, you have totake care of yourself!"

- Learn your body.
Listen to your body and make adjustments as needed. Don't be stubborn!
If you ignore the messages your body sends you, you are likely to get into trouble.


- Ask for help when doing difficult or risky tasks.
Part of doing good work is surrounding yourself with good crew members who help each other out.


- Get smart about your finances.
No work means no money.
Manage your finances in a way that will enable you to take time off work to fully recover should you experience a a health problem.


Ryan's story is a good reminder that, if you want to last as an ironworker, your health and wellness needs to be a top priority!
